Tiling is one of those jobs you might be considering doing yourself. For the experienced amateur or DIY enthusiast, tiling a bathroom might not seem like a difficult job. It is certainly possible to do it but it does also take some prior consideration. Here are some things to think about:

• Make sure you have all the right tools. You will need adhesives and tools for cutting the tiles down to the right size.
• Use til trim. This is applied to the tile edges to make them look neat and to give corners a smart finish. Choose a trim that will go with the bathroom and the tiles.
• Line the tiles up correctly. There is nothing worse than wonky tiles that will annoy you every time you look at them. Use a spirit level to make sure everything is perfectly straight and be very careful when securing the tiles to the wall.
